TANDBERG products are sold in Belgium by dealers. The dealers act as the importer of the equipment into Belgium. Thus the dealers have the legal responsibility to:

• Register as the WEEE producer in Belgium.
• Provide arrangements for collection and recycling of WEEE arising from TANDBERG products that the dealer sells in Belgium.

Regulations concerning the management of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in Belgium are covered by the following regulations in each adminstrative region:

• In Brussels Capital, an amendment to the existing Producer Responsibility Decree which came into force on June 3rd 2005
• In Flanders, the Waste Prevention and Management Ordinance (VLAREA) which came into force on December 1st 2004
• In Wallonia, an amendment to the existing Producer Responsibility Decree which came into force on June 3rd 2005

Under the Regulations in each adminstrative region in Belgium, for equipment that you buy from a TANDBERG dealer after August 13th 2005, the dealer is required to provide arrangements for the collection, treatment, recycling and recovery of WEEE that your new purchase replaces, on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis. The old equipment that your new purchase from the TANDBERG dealer replaces is referred to as Historic WEEE.

Under the Regulations, the dealer is also required to provide arrangements for the collection, treatment, recycling and recovery of any new electrical and electronic equipment that you buy from the dealer after August 13th 2005, when that new equipment eventually becomes waste. This is referred to as New WEEE.
