TANDBERG products are sold in Estonia by dealers.
The dealers act as the importer of the equipment into Estonia.
Thus the dealers have the legal responsibility to:
- Register as the WEEE producer in Estonia.
- Provide arrangements for collection and recycling of WEEE arising from TANDBERG products that the dealer sells in Estonia.
Under amendments to the Waste Act in 2004 and 2005, a WEEE regulation in December 2004, a regulation on WEEE treatment in February 2005 and a regulation on the Central Register for ‘products of concern’ (including electrical and electronic equipment) at the end of January 2006, for equipment that you buy from a TANDBERG dealer after August 13th 2005, the dealer is required to provide arrangements for the collection, treatment, recycling and recovery of WEEE that your new purchase replaces, on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis. The old equipment that your new purchase from the TANDBERG dealer replaces is referred to as Historic WEEE.
Under these regulations, the dealer is also required
to provide arrangements for the collection, treatment, recycling
and recovery of any new electrical and electronic
equipment that you buy from the dealer after
August 13th 2005, when that new equipment eventually
becomes waste. This is referred to as New WEEE.
TANDBERG has joined compliance scheme EES-Ringlus to provide WEEE collection, recycling and reporting on behalf of its dealers in Estonia. Please contact EES-Ringlus below to organise collection of TANDBERG equipment which has become waste:
