High performance audio provides a richer, more complete visual communication experience. TANDBERG's outstanding audio capabilities eliminate the frustration caused by background noise, echo, and other annoyances common to the average audio and video call.

CD-quality Audio
•   TANDBERG’s CD-quality 20kHz audio is the highest quality audio in the industry and the first to allow for true reproduction of voice and multimedia presentations. Furthering a commitment to standards and interoperability, TANDBERG has implemented the ITU standard MPEG-4 AAC-LD, which provides high quality and low delay.


Stereo Audio
•   Standards-based, high performance audio for the best multimedia quality possible. Standard S/PDIF and RCA connections allow for integration with standard VCRs/DVDs and PC audio. Combined with TANDBERG's 20 KHz Audio (MPEG-4 AAC-LD), stereo audio facilitates media rich communications unmatched in the industry.


The following audio features are included in all TANDBERG video endpoints:

Satellite Speaker Upgrade Digital Natural Audio ModuleTM (DNAM) and Satellite Speaker Upgrade
The DNAM comes standard on the TANDBERG Maestro, TANDBERG 6000 MXP and TANDBERG 8000 MXP and further enhances video quality in large meeting room environments. A 3-way active speaker system with active crossovers, the new module provides 250W of power, creating clear audio for larger environments. The system also delivers a flat response across the vocal range and reproduces voice without the distortion of speech caused by television speakers.
Set-top Stereo Audio Package Set-top Stereo Audio Package
The Set-top Stereo Audio Package combines center channel speaker/equalizer with high quality stereo speakers. Set-top Digital Natural Audio ModuleTM (Set-top DNAM) enhances video quality in small meeting room environments. Combining a 2-way active speaker system with active crossovers, the new module provides 100W of power, creating clear audio for smaller environments. The Set-top DNAM combined with high quality stereo speakers create the highest quality audio within the set-top industry.

The TANDBERG 770 MXP, TANDBERG 880 MXP and TANDBERG 990 MXP have been specifically designed to work with the Set-top Stereo Audio Package.
Audio Science Microphone Audio Science Microphone
One Audio Science Microphone can replace 6 or more ordinary microphones. Suspended from the ceiling, this unique microphone has a reach of 14 feet (4 meters) and offers an exceptional audio pickup range. Combined with the superior audio functionality of TANDBERG codecs and video systems, the Audio Science microphone automatically balances the different levels of sound coming from various places in the room.
